Umar began his formal Islamic studies in 2016 through Tazkiyah Academy, based in South Africa, where he enrolled in the ECIL (English Classical Islamic Learning) program. This marked the beginning of a structured academic journey in the traditional Islamic sciences.
In 2017, he continued his studies at Darul Uloom Canada. Thereafter, from 2018 to 2019, he pursued further Islamic studies at the Islamic Institute of Atlanta, continuing to build a foundation across the various disciplines of the Islamic scholarly tradition.
Alongside his Islamic education, Umar completed three years of collegiate studies at Valencia College between 2017 and 2020. The initial years of his college education were undertaken online due to the rigorous demands of his Islamic studies, while the final year was completed through in-person attendance. During this period, and particularly in his final year, he also engaged in private online studies in Fiqh and Tafseer under qualified scholars.
In 2021, Umar relocated to Turkey in order to dedicate himself fully to advanced Islamic studies. His primary areas of specialization became Aqeedah (Islamic Theology) and Usool (Foundational Principles), studying within a structured academic environment focused on the higher sciences of Islam.
Each academic year, more than twenty disciplines within the traditional Islamic sciences were studied with rigor, with each successive year reflecting an increased level of depth and advancement across those fields. These subjects include:
